Position: RN - First Assist (RNFA) - Operating Room

Job Type: Full-Time (FTE)

Location: Lewiston-ID

Base Salary: $98,000 to $140,000+Best-in-class benefits

Responsibilities:

* Surgical Assistance: Provide direct assistance to surgeons during surgical procedures, acting as the first assistant in the operating room.

* Patient Care: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout the perioperative period, including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative support, and post-operative monitoring.

* Technical Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in surgical techniques, instrumentation, and aseptic practices.

* Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

* Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on surgical procedures, pre- and post-operative care, and potential risks and complications.

* Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care and surgical procedures.

Qualifications:

* Education: Associate's degree in Nursing.

* Licensure: Current RN license in the state of Idaho or eligibility for licensure.

Schedule:

• Full-Time: 80 hours per pay period
• Hours: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Call Schedule: 1 day/week and 1 weekend/month ($4.00/hour while on call)
• Call Back: Minimum of 2 hours of pay when called in at time & one half
• Shift Differential: (pay is based on the majority of hours worked)
• Evening Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) = 8%
• Night Shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM) = 11%
• No Weekend Differential

Certification:

* Proof of completion of an RNFA course.

* Current BLS certification.

* PALS certification within 3 months of hire.

Experience:

* 3 years of Perioperative RN experience.

* Other: Must meet requirements to obtain allied health privileges through medical staff credentialing.
